In this work show the results of the Pyropia Perforata algae as an alternative consolidant in deteriorated linen textile fibers. First, it was obtained a dry extract of the algae and was characterized by Fourier Transformed Infrarred Spectroscopy (FTIR). Were prepared consolidant solutions based on algae extract at 0.5%, 1.5% and 2.5% w/w, these consolidant solutions were applied on natural fiber linen specimens previously deteriorated. The specimens were assay by mechanical techniques for known the effect of the consolidant. The result show that the solution with 1.5% of algae extract content present the best mechanical behaviour. The Pyropia Perforata algae is a viable proposal to be used as consolidant of vegetal fibers.
}, number={4}, journal={South Florida Journal of Development}, author={Luévano, Valeria Cervantes and Vidales, Juana María Miranda and Hernández, Lilia Narváez}, year={2022}, month={Jul.}, pages={4529–4535} }
